A Day at the Beach

Last summer, my family went to the beach. We left home early in the morning. The drive to the coast took two hours. When we arrived, the sun was bright and warm. The sand was soft and golden under our feet. My brother and I ran straight to the water. The waves were cool and a lot of fun. Later, we built a big sandcastle together. My mother prepared a picnic with sandwiches and juice. In the afternoon, we collected pretty shells. We watched the sunset before we drove home. It was one of the best days of our summer.
